My name is Daniel Krčka and I was born into a winemaking family business in South Moravia. Vineyards and the art of wine production have been inherited for generations. Working in the vineyard and with the wine in the cellar is natural to me. I learned it gradually during my life from my grandfather and father. I, too, have been passing this art on to my sons since their early childhood. When I look back, I have many fond memories of my grandfather and his vision to pass on the joy of winemaking. When making red wine, I still draw on his experience of processing grapes from our 60-year-old vineyard. For me, family winemaking means passing on to each other knowledge and experience, which deepens with each generation, each season. Over time, I learned humility towards Mother Nature and a love for wine. The members of my extended family sacrifice their free time to work in the vineyard, and therefore it is a great pleasure for me to produce a quality wine for them that meets the strict criteria of all their taste buds. I love wine and tasting it is a natural part of our family life.
